About Mark8 IQ Mark8 IQ is an AI operating system for digital commerce. We help multi-marketplace D2C brands in India centralise fragmented data and automate operations across ads, inventory, returns, finance, and quick commerce. We are building fast. The product surface is growing. Design here solves real operational problems for real businesses.

What You Will Work on You will work across product interface design and web design. Both workstreams are active and ship to users, investors, and enterprise clients.

Product Interface Design
• Screen design for complex B2B SaaS dashboards and AI-driven interfaces
• User flow mapping and wireframing before visual execution
• Component-level design: cards, tables, modals, input states, empty states, error states
• Responsive layout thinking across breakpoints
• Dark and light theme variants where required by product context

Web Design
• Page-level UI design for a live marketing and product website
• Translating brand language into interface-appropriate layouts
• Maintaining visual and interaction consistency across pages
• Preparing design specs and assets for developer handoff

Design System and Figma Hygiene
• Building and maintaining reusable components in Figma
• Ensuring naming conventions, auto-layout, and variant structures are clean and developer-friendly
• Contributing to a shared component library used across web and product

UX Thinking (Expected, Not Optional)
• Identifying friction points in flows before presenting visual solutions
• Structuring information hierarchy before applying visual design
• Raising UX concerns during briefing, not after execution

What We Expect
• Figma proficiency is non-negotiable. You must build with components, use auto layout correctly, and deliver handoff-ready files without supervision. If your Figma files need to be cleaned before a developer can use them, that is a gap.
• Understanding of UI fundamentals: spacing systems, type scales, colour roles, interactive states, and grid behaviour. These are not stylistic preferences here. They are structural requirements.
• Ability to think in flows, not just screens. A single screen delivered without context of what comes before and after it is incomplete work.
• Comfort working with AI tools as part of the design process. AI is used actively here for ideation, layout exploration, and asset generation. Expected from day one.
• Comfort working within a task management system. Briefs, timelines, and feedback are tracked on a shared platform. Task status must be kept updated within the system, not just communicated over chat.
• Ability to receive feedback and apply it with precision. Revisions should narrow, not restart.

Good to Have
• Experience designing for SaaS, data-heavy interfaces, or AI products
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS (enough to know what is buildable and what creates dev overhead)
• Familiarity with interaction design and micro-animation thinking
• Exposure to user research, even informally (usability walkthroughs, feedback synthesis)
• Knowledge of accessibility basics (contrast ratios, touch targets, readable type sizes)

What You Will Not Find Here
• Pixel-pushing without product thinking
• A team that treats UI/UX as a downstream step
• Designs that never ship
